BASF and China Energy Construction Guangdong Institute signed a letter of intent to promote cooperation in the renewable energy power and low-carbon fields of the Zhanjiang integrated base

Recently, BASF signed a letter of intent to cooperate with China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Electric Power Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. (referred to as “China Energy Engineering Guangdong Institute”) to promote renewable energy power and low-carbon production at its Zhanjiang integrated base. Development of field partnerships, including for a period of
25-year renewable energy power procurement plan, energy planning, energy storage, carbon sequestration capture and utilization and other areas.

About BASF Zhanjiang Integrated Base

The Zhanjiang integrated base project is BASF’s largest single investment project to date, with a total investment amount of RMB 100
billion euros and will be independently constructed and operated by BASF. After completion, the base will become BASF’s third largest production base in the world, behind the Ludwigshafen base in Germany and the Antwerp base in Belgium.
